The R+D+i lines are geared towards improving the competitiveness and sustainability of vineyards while representing our sector's commitment to a culture of innovation, knowledge, collaborative work, and the training of human capital. Work is currently being done on three programs:
Meteovid is Wines of Chile’s meteorological station network. Its objective is to deliver processed weather-related information to aid decision-making in vineyard management, thereby improving the competitiveness of wine producers. Meteovid currently has 47 automated meteorological stations distributed between the Valparaíso and Biobío Regions, and it provides online and real-time meteorological information to all vineyards.
The Pesticides Agenda is an information system owned by the Fruit Exporters Association of Chile A.G. (ASOEX), and is exclusively for use by its members. However, since 2009, it has been available to the wine sector thanks to a strategic partnership that began with the Wine Consortia, VINNOVA, and TECNOVID, and the Wines of Chile Trade Association, and which is currently maintained by the Wines of Chile R+D Consortium.
