Syrah

If there is one word that defines this variety, it would be versatility. It is a variety that changes and transforms completely depending on the local terroir, and its versatility is reflected in the wide variety of Chilean terroirs. In warm climates, such as Colchagua, it reveals big and vigorous wines with black fruit aromas. In cooler climates, such as San Antonio or Elqui, the wines tend to be magnificently spicy and complex, frequently at the top of international lists of tasting panels. Aside from the versatility and big character of this variety, its viticulture is defined by its great vigor in the first years of life, which then gives way to more well-balanced and generous plants as the years go by.
