Tras una exitosa primera versión en 2017, el próximo 23, 24 y 25 de octubre en las ciudades chinas de Shenzhen y Beijing, se realizará nuevamente el evento 90+, el cual presenta a los vinos nacionales que obtuvieron más de 90 puntos en competiciones de clase mundial como Decanter, Wine Expectator, James Suckling o AWOCA.

Para la presente edición se congregarán 40 viñas chilenas donde cada una solo podrá mostrar a sus 4 mejores etiquetas las cuáles serán catadas por reconocidos expertos en vinos, trader, medios de comunicación, sommeliers y líderes de opinión, conectando de esa manera a distribuidores, mayoristas, compradores y consumidores finales, en diferentes etapas.

La actividad se iniciará con un “90+ Simposio” de dos horas, el cual estará guiado por los expertos: Fongyee Walker, fundadora y CEO de Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting y la primera y única Master of Wine china; Steven Spurrier, fundador de la primera escuela de vinos de Francia y coautor de numerosos libros relacionados con el producto y Yang Lu, director general de Shangri-La Group premiado como “el embajador del vino de China” y considerado el sommelier más influyente del país, quienes tendrá como labor el poder guiar a los participantes a través de la degustación y compartiendo sus opiniones sobre los vinos chilenos.

Posteriormente, los participantes tendrán una degustación “90+ Hall” de cuatro horas y media en donde se podrán apreciar los mejores y más representativos vinos de las 40 bodegas chilenas. En esta cata los presentes podrán comunicarse libremente con los propietarios de las bodegas y enólogos para profundizar su compresión de los vinos y la cultura vitivinícola nacional.

Finalmente, el evento concluirá con la “90+ Media Dinner” en donde los representantes de los principales medios de comunicación del país y los líderes de opinión de la industria podrán degustar de una cena privada de tres tiempos con vinos chilenos y guiada por Walker, Spurrier y Yang.

Following a successful first edition in 2017, the 90+ event will be held on October 23, 24, and 25 in the Chinese cities of Shenzhen and Beijing. This event presents the Chilean wines that obtained over 90 points in world-class competitions, such as Decanter, Wine Expectator, James Suckling, or AWOCA.

For this edition, there will be 40 Chilean wineries and each one will only be able to showcase their four best labels. These will be tasted by renowned wine experts, traders, the press, sommeliers, and opinion leaders, thus connecting distributors, wholesalers, end buyers and end consumers, in different stages.

The activity will begin with a “90+ Symposium” lasting two hours, which will be led by experts: Fongyee Walker, founder and CEO of Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting, and the first and only Chinese Master of Wine; Steven Spurrier, founder of the first school of wines in France, and the co-author of numerous books on the product; and Yang Lu, General Director of Shangri-La Group, awarded as the “ambassador of wine of China,” and considered to be the most influential sommelier in the country, will be responsible for guiding participants through the tasting and sharing their opinions on Chilean wines.

After this, participants will have a “90+ Hall” tasting that will last four and a half hours, where they will be able to taste the best and most representative wines from the 40 Chilean wineries. Attendees of this tasting will be able to communicate freely with the owners of the wineries and winemakers so as to deepen their understanding of wines and the Chilean winemaking culture.

Lastly, the event will conclude with the “90+ Media Dinner,” where representatives from the country’s leading media and opinion leaders from the industry will be able to taste a private, three-course dinner with Chilean wines, and guided by Walker, Spurrier, and Yang.
