Enóloga de Viña Leyda es elegida entre las 10 mujeres líderes de la industria del vino

El prestigioso medio Wine Enthusiast y en el marco de la celebración del mes de la mujer, escogió a las 10 mujeres pioneras de la industria del vino entre las que se encontró la enóloga de la Viña Leyda, Viviana Navarrete.

En la nota, que destacó a Navarrete como una de las encargadas de producir los mejores vinos de climas fríos del país, se analizaron los principales desafíos de las mujeres en la industria vitivinícola chilena.

“Cuando comencé en Leyda, solo unas pocas mujeres trabajaban como enológicas en las bodegas chilenas. Pero el tiempo ha demostrado que somos tan buenos como los hombres en el trabajo”, afirmó la destacada enóloga.

Navarrete was recognized as one of the female winemakers responsible for producing the best cool climate wines from Chile.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the prestigious magazine Wine Enthusiast selected the 10 trailblazing women in the wine industry, including Viña Leyda winemaker, Viviana Navarrete.

The article, which highlighted Navarrete as one of the winemakers responsible for producing the best cool climate wines from Chile, analyzed the main challenges faced by women in the Chilean wine industry.

“Back then, when I started at Leyda, only a few women worked as chief winemakers at Chilean wineries. But time has shown that we are as good as men at the job,” says the renowned winemaker.

Cincuenta viñas chilenas dijeron presente en una nueva versión de la feria Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018

Con la presencia de más de 1.300 expositores procedentes de diversos países, el sector vitivinícola chileno en conjunto con Wines of Chile, fueron uno de los grandes protagonistas de la Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018, uno de los principales eventos de la industria vitivinícola de la región Asia Pacífico.

La feria, que se realizó entre el 29 y 31 de mayo en la ciudad de Hong Kong, China, concentró a una importante cantidad de expertos y viñedos del mundo que destacan por su fuerte posicionamiento en las regiones de cada país.

Fueron cincuenta las viñas nacionales que participaron en el pabellón chileno de 516m2 en donde se presentó una muestra cultural de bailes típicos nacionales.

Además, dentro de las actividades, se realizó un seminario dirigido por la única Master of Wine del país asiático, Fongyee Walker en donde presentaron excepcionales maridajes de vinos blancos chilenos con la típica comida cantonesa, “Dim Sum”.

Mario Pablo Silva, presidente de Vinos de Chile afirmó que “para nosotros es muy importante el participar de estas ferias internacionales de alto nivel ya que nos permiten mostrar la calidad y diversidad de nuestra oferta”.

Vinexpo Hong Kong se ha transformado en una de las ferias más relevante para la generación de negocios dirigido a especialistas del comercio minorista, mayoristas, distribuidores internacionales de vino, entre otros.

Fifty Chilean Vineyards Attended the Newest Version of the Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018

The event brought together a large number of experts and vineyards from around the world.

With an attendance of over 1,300 presenters from different countries, the Chilean wine sector along with Wines of Chile were one of the key players in the Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018, one of the most important wine industry events in the Asia-Pacific region.

The expo was held May 29-31 in the city of Hong Kong, China, and brought together a large number of wine experts and vineyards from around the world that have stood out for their leading position in each of their countries.

Fifty Chilean vineyards participated in the Chilean pavilion, which covered 516m2 and included a cultural showcase of traditional Chilean dances.

The activities also included a seminar led by the one-of-a-kind Chinese Master of Wine, Fongyee Walker, who presented exceptional pairings of Chilean white wines with the traditional Cantonese dish “Dim Sum.”

Mario Pablo Silva, Chairman of Wines of Chile, affirms that, “it is very important for us to participate in these high-level international fairs, as they allow us to demonstrate the quality and diversity of our wine offer.”

Vinexpo Hong Kong has become one of the most important wine fairs for generating business and is aimed at retail and wholesale trade specialists, international wine distributors, and others.
