The origin of the Echeverría family goes back to a little town in the mountains of the Basque country called Amezqueta, near San sebastián, in the province of Guipúzcoa.
In 1740 the Echeverría family moved to Chile, and has been prominent in Chilean agriculture and active in grape growing and winemaking since then. In the early 1900s, the Echeverría family established their vineyard and winery in the outskirts of the town of Molina, in the Curicó Valley. Since then, Viña Echeverría has been growing high quality grapes from french pre-philloxera rootstocks, and producing fine wines in that same location.
In 1992 Viña Echeverría started marketing it’s wines worldwide with it’s own label. Today we are succesfully exporting to highly demanding markets located in Europe, Asia and America.
