Wines of Chile’s 2011 Grand Tasting in New York

woc-natural-choice-w-images-250More than 60 of Chile’s leading wineries** are ready to pour 300 of their finest wines, so get set for this year’s Wines of Chile Grand Tasting in New York City on June 14.

This two-part event begins with sessions for trade and press during the day and then opens its doors for consumers in the evening.

The daytime sessions include two professional seminars. Seating will be first come, first served, so be sure to get there early (those who attend will also participate in a drawing for an iPad!).

This year’s theme is “A World of Taste,” so in addition to the winery stands, four specially themed rooms will offer guests the opportunity to taste Chilean wine with different types of flavors. Be sure to taste your way through:

The Carmenere & Curry Room (A delightful pairing!)
The Sauvignon Blanc & Ceviche Room (Classically perfect match)
The Cabernet & Carne Room (Cabernet paired with lamb and beef dishes), and
The Green Room (Organic and Sustainable Chile)

Each room will also feature a number of images by the English photographer Matt Wilson, who lives in the heart of Chile’s Colchagua Valley.
