Via Wines (Ex Via Wines Groupe)
Simon Farr, a reputed wine merchant from the U.K. who had started Bibendum Wine Limited in the early 80´s visited Chile with the vision of creating innovative wines for international consumers.
He met the Coderch family, with a vast tradition in spirits and wine in the early 1990’s, and in 1998 after extensive research and experimentation VIA Wines was born.
400 hectares of vineyards were planted at the San Rafael estate in the San Rafael sub-region of the Maule Valley, striving for winemaking excellence and innovation. Later on a group of wine-loving investors from Brazil, the United States and Chile joined as partners.
Today VIA Wines owns 1,039 hectares of vineyards planted in the Chile’s premiere winegrowing valleys: Maule, Curicó, Colchagua, and Casablanca.
