Chilean wineries offer a wide range of attractive activities for visitors, starting with standard group or private tours that show the vineyards, explain the winemaking process, and conclude with a tasting, but of course there are many more options to choose from!
Many wineries offer an assortment of guided wine tasting options: blind, vertical (different vintages of the same wine), premium, by variety, etc., and some have wine bars where guests can taste wines along with specially paired appetizers. Many wineries offer their guests the option of exploring the vineyards and grounds by bicycle, carriage, or on horseback. Some have programs that invite guests to spend a day working in the winery or learning about the blending process in order to make their own wine to take home.
Complementary activities include hiking along botanical trails, picnicking, and wine country cooking classes. Other options include Patagonian-style barbecues, folklore shows, traditional dances, visits to astronomic observatories, cable car rides, horseback riding, and even skimming across the vineyards on a zip-line! The opportunities for fun are limitless.
