Maule, Itata
Chile’s Mediterranean climate, with cold rainy winters and warm dry summers makes dry farming a natural in certain areas such as Maule, Itata, and Bío Bío. These vineyards spend a good portion of the winter under water and receive none at all during the growing season. The vines send their roots deep into the earth for water and minerals and then produce naturally rich, concentrated fruit with little human intervention.
