The most recent Gomberg-Fredrikson Report revealed that wine imports to the United States increased by 19% during the first half of 2009.
Chile leads the pack with 40% of the total wine imported, more than doubling Argentina’s 18%, and far outweighing Portugal with 14% and France at just 12%.

Wines of Chile presented a report on the US Market today as well as the findings of research on the New York On-Trade and Consumer in Eastern Canada.
This year ten US judges—Robert Bradshaw, Patrick Comiskey, Linda Murphy, David Rosengarten, Michael Schachner, Josh Raynolds, Sandy Block, Stuart Roy, Alder Yarrow, and Kevin Zraly—have agreed to tune their palates to hundreds of Chilean wines on January 12–14, 2009.
