Wines of Chile

Over the last decade the Chilean wine sector has dramatically transformed into a major player on the world market. So it’s no surprise that when Wine Intelligence asked world experts to nominate the world’s top figures for commendation, four of the 30 nominees on the short-list hail from Chile.

Viña Errázuriz president Eduardo Chadwick received a “Special Contribution Award” from Drinks Business during the 2009 London International Wine Fair.

Vinos de Chile elected its new Board of Directors and named René Merino to his second term as President. René Araneda is Vice President and Andrés Turner is Treasurer.

Chile’s Circle of Food & Wine Writers Annual Awards included three special awards for the wine industry.
