In an act of solidarity and partnership, the Chilean Embassy in Washington, DC worked together with Wines of Chile USA, Agrupacion Chile, Corporacion Cultural de Chile, and Fundacion Cultural Chilean-Americana to host a charity event benefiting the victims of February’s tragic earthquake in Chile.  The event, which took place in Bethesda, Maryland featured Chilean wine auction lots, performances by well-known artists all with the intention of raising money to benefit those in Chile whose lives were affected.  The event was a tremendous success, with over US$ 3,000 raised.  The response from Chilean wineries was so strong that the embassy scheduled a second auction event for March 18th.
