Acclaimed Chilean chef, Pilar Rodriguez, has defined her cooking by harnessing the unique ingredients of Chile to create dishes designed to harmonize with specific wines. Ms. Rodriquez’ November 5th cooking class in Washington, DC will be a lesson in wine tasting and food-and-wine pairing, featuring in-depth instruction on Chile’s wine regions as well as a live cooking demonstration. 25 students will learn to approach the preparation of food in the context of the wine it is intended to accompany. Thus, despite being titled a ‘cooking class’, it is the wines from Chile that will be the stars of the syllabus.
