We are very pleased to inform you that Wines of Chile will hold a Press Tasting in Dublin, to which you are invited to participate.
Publicity from these tastings usually appears over a period of months in the National and Trade press in lead up to the busy Christmas selling period when the consumer is making their purchase choices so this is the optimum time for this type of promotion.
We would like to take this opportunity to highlight “Good Value from Chile “. These themes are very topical during these recessionary times and Chile is punching way above weight in terms of the good price/quality ratio which they offer on the market at this time. Wines of Chile want to hold this tasting to showcase some of the good value wines currently available on the Irish market in a quiet and focused environment. It will be a great opportunity to put your wines in front of Ireland’s top press and educators as well as some key retail buyers and Sommeliers
Details are as follows:
Date: Monday 14th September, 2009
Time: 11.30 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Venue: Radisson SAS Dublin Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.
The invitations will go out to the key wine writers at the end of July and it is anticipated that most will attend the tasting. A catalogue will be produced which lists RSP and stockists and this will be given to those visiting to use for their tasting notes.
The format of the tasting will be as follows:
- Wines will be lined up by price point and will be broken into red and white
- No wineries or Agents will be present, allowing the press to taste uninterrupted
- Information pack on the Chilean Wine Valleys will be available
- Tasting Catalogue listing RSP and stockists will be provided
It is important that you liaise with your Irish agent to agree how many wines are to be submitted (to a maximum of four) and to discuss with them the wines you wish to feature.

Please send 2 bottles of each wine (in case one is faulty) and include details of the RSP and list of stockists so that we can include this information in the catalogue. It would be helpful if the catalogue information can be sent NOT LATER than Friday 14th August, 2009
