Denmark - Concurso Chefs & Sommeliers

23 top restaurants have been invited to participate in a competition of the best food/wine combination with Chilean food. The event will take place in the premises of the Restaurant School.The format of the competition will be as follows:

  • The restaurants participate with on chef and one sommelier each.

  • Two courses have to be made, one starter to which a Sauvignon Blanc wine is to be serve and one main dish to which a Red Blend or Caberne Sauvignon is to be served.
  • Wineries / importers donate the wines of the decided varieties (the wines have to be available on the Danish market)
  • There is room for 12-14 participating restaurants.
  • Each team will receive a box with the same content: seafood, fish, meat, vegetables / fruit.
  • The Sommelier from each team has to tasted all the wines and decide which to serve to the 2 courses.There will be a jury panel consisting of wine and food journalists a Chilean sommelier / chef and a representative from the restaurant school.
  • The jury panel will have to taste all the wines, while the food is being prepared, and select the winner team.
  • The winner team will win a trip to Chile. The second and third place will win wine - one bottle of each of the presented wines
