Chilean Food & Wine at the WCR conference

Wines of Chile USA is delighted support Washington, DC Women Chefs & Restaurateurs’ National Conference by coordinating a number of wine donations. Chilean wines will be featured on Saturday, October 31 WCR’s dinner at Ambassador Goni’s residence, on Sunday, November 1 at the WCR Awards Gala reception, and on Monday, November 2 at a food-and-wine pairing prepared by renowned Chilean Chef, Pilar Rodriguez. DC Women Chefs & Restaurateurs is an organization dedicated to furthering the education, advancement, and connections of women in the culinary trade, and has rewarded numerous women who have displayed excellence in their field with educational travel opportunities.

Recap:  The WCR event was excellent.  ProChile and Wines of Chile worked closely to make a big impact with these 300 female chefs from around the US.  The festivities started with a dinner for the officers at the Ambassador’s residence on October 31st.  Then, Wines of Chile sponsored the cocktail reception and dinner on November 2nd.  Lori Tieszen, WoC USA Executive Director, spoke at the dinner.  ProChile, Wines of Chile promoted Chilean food and wine with Pilar Rodriguez on Monday November 2nd.  The wines from Casillero del Diablo, Novas, Natura, Marques de Casa Concha ;and Maycas were featured.
