Cofradia de Vino Chileno Spring Dinner

logo-of-the-cofradia-de-vino-chilenoWe are pleased to announce that, after an absence of 2 years, the Spring Cofradia Dinner will return to The Carlton Club, 69 St. James’s Street, London, SW1A 1PJ, on Monday 11th April 2011. It is hoped that as many members as possible are able to attend.

Founded in 1832 in the aftermath of the victory of the reforming party, The Carlton Club was designed as a party political organisation, just as other clubs after the Napoleonic War were founded to satisfy particular interests.  69 St James’s Street only became the Clubhouse after the Pall Mall building was destroyed in an air-raid during the Second World War. Many of the Club’s most valuable possessions, including portraits of Conservative Prime Ministers and Cabinets since the 18th century, survived the destruction of the old Clubhouse and can still be seen today.
The dinner will take place in The Churchill Room in which a three course meal will be accompanied by a selection of top quality wines from some of Chile’s leading wineries. It will also be an opportunity to hear Lord Naseby give us some feedback and anecdotes from the recent Cofradia Chile trip.
