Chile’s newly-formed Club de Carignan will host a tasting of this emblematic variety and donate the proceeds to the town of Sauzal, Maule, the home of many Carignan producers. Sauzal was particularly hard hit by Chile’s recent 8.8-magnitude earthquake.
Winewriter Patricio Tapia and Sommelier Héctor Riquelme will present the event, and winemakers from the participating wineries will present their wines: Bravado Wines (Facundo), Canepa (Genovino), De Martino (El León Single VIneyard), Gillmore (Hacedor de Mundos), Meli, Morandé (Edición Limitada), Torres (Cordillera), Undurraga (TH), Valdivieso (Eclat), Via Wines (Oveja Negra), and Garage Wines Co.
