Viu Manent: Family owned since 1935
Viu Manent is a family-owned Chilean winery that was founded in 1935 when Catalan immigrant Miguel Viu García and his two sons, Agustín and Miguel Viu Manent, founded Bodegas Viu in Santiago de Chile. The winery began by marketing wines purchased from other suppliers and bottled under its own brand name. More than thirty years later, in 1966, Miguel Viu Manent realized his dream of producing his own wines by acquiring the old Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco vineyards and winery in the heart of the Colchagua Valley winegrowing region.
The winery has been in the hands of the Viu family every since, and today the third generations, led by owner-director José Miguel Viu Bottini.
Viu Manent has come a long way over the past 75 years, years that have been marked by the family’s love for the trade and its ongoing commitment to the excellence and quality of its wines. This dedication has made the winery one of Chile’s most distinguished producers of fine wines, exporting its products to five continents since the early 1990s.
Commited to Quality and Identity
Viu Manent owns 260 hectares of vineyards in Chile’s renowned Colchagua Valley appellation, including the San Carlos estate in the sub-appellation of Santa Cruz, and the La Capilla and El Olivar estates, both in the sub-appellation of Peralillo.

A team of talented professionals strongly committed to the Viu family’s vision produce and vinify the fruit grown with respect for the environment and with the desire to produce wines in their own style that are true reflections of their variety and origins.
