Wines And Diet

Wine has always been an important part of the diet, gastronomy and social customs, and over time has gone from being an important source of nutrients to being a cultural complement to food.

Drinking wine with moderation during meals is part of the well-known and appreciated Mediterranean diet, as well as your lifestyle. The French gastronomy, declared in 2011 Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, also includes the moderate consumption of wine. In other countries such as Spain, with a long tradition of wine consumption as part of a balanced diet, wine is considered food by law.

A balanced diet is a fundamental factor for a healthy lifestyle. Excess, both food and drink, is harmful to health. In a balanced diet quality is as important as quantity and therefore, we must choose carefully what we drink and what we eat, taste it slowly and avoid excesses.
