In 2016, a Chilean winery took home the most coveted award of all - Green Company of the Year - along with several other mentions for Chilean wine producers.
Syrah was the wine of choice for the Palmares competition held at La Grande Dégustation de Montréal last week, and Chile triumphed with four wines in the Top 10 and one taking the top title of the competition.
The Great Wine Capitals 2017 Awards were announced earlier this month in Chile's international wine capital, Casablanca and Valparaiso, with several winners. The winning restaurant in the wine region went on to win the international trophy on 10 November.
