This year 50 Chilean wineries are going to be showing their new wines in the Asian market, as China becomes the second most important market for wine exports.
Chile's wine industry is gearing up for Asia's biggest wine fair, Vinexpo Hong Kong 2016 from 24 through to 26 May where Wines of Chile and Pro Chile will be accompanied by Chilean wineries at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
"This show promises to establish itself as the largest in Asia-Pacific,says Claudio Cilveti, General Manager Wines of Chile. "It is one of the main markets for Chile, and this is a strategic location for national wineries to generate new business and to continue positioning our wine in that region."
This year, 50 Chilean wine producers will be showing their wines to the Asian market. China is a very important market for Chile, as the second largest market for exports and with growth of 44% according to the latest statistics from January 2016.
During the fair, Wines of Chile will be on its ongoing mission to position Chile's brand as a great choice for wine drinking among consumers and will have a bar and entertaining plans to hold different activities throughout Vinexpo.
