Wines of Chile, Puro Chile, Turismo Chile, Corfo’s Chile Brands, LAN and Turismo Chile teamed up to host this launch event for more than 60 guests, including wine tour operators and travel and lifestyle writers. The “guides” for the evening’s virtual tour of Chile included Lori Tieszen, Executive Director of Wines of Chile USA, who brought wine tourism to life, Juan Pablo Chovar, Director of Turismo Chile, who highlighted popular tourism destinations, and Paolo Dino, Leisure Market Manager for LAN Airlines, who showed guests how to see Chile in style.

The Wines of Chile Experience is WoC’s first initiative in support of its wine tourism campaign and is especially designed to create awareness of Chile as a key destination for epicurean travelers by promoting the country’s widely diverse attractions, starting with food and wine and continuing through its amazing geography, art, culture, traditions, archaeology, sports of all kinds, and countless other attractions that prove that Chile has something for everyone. “From the stunning beaches to the Antarctic glaciers, Chile offers multiple opportunities for exploration,” said Lori Tieszen. “Our efforts are focused on revealing the Chilean wine tourism experiences available to travelers today.”

Chile’s vast climatic and geographic diversity create the many terroirs that make it a true viticultural paradise. With more than 450 years of winemaking tradition, today Chile produces a broad range of excellent wines, from crisp and exciting whites from cool-climate areas to fresh and fruity reds, from mountain-grown blends to dry-farmed Carignan, to its own emblematic Carmenere, and more.
