New York City’s Culinary Hot Spots and Top Wine Stores Toast Wines of Chile
Salud! Chilean Wine Fest begins pouring September 18 – 30, 2007
This September, Wines of Chile will be treating New York gourmands to a special festival celebrating the country’s best bottles. The second annual Salud! Chilean Wine Fest is an exploration of premium Chilean wines presented by some of New York’s best restaurants and wine retailers. To mark Chile’s Independence Day, Salud! Chilean Wine Fest will kick off on September 18 and run through September 30, featuring some of Chile’s top varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, and Sauvignon Blanc.
New Yorkers are invited to participate in Salud! by visiting any of the fourteen dining establishments whose sommeliers will be showcasing a selection of Chilean wines by the glass to highlight the premium quality winemaking that Chile boasts.
Enophiles and amateurs alike are invited to participate in a series of free tastings presented by eight of New York’s best wine retailers.

Chilean Wine Classes:
As part of Salud! Chilean Wine Fest, Havana Central will host two wine classes focused on Chilean wine, presented by New York Wine Consultant, Ellisa Cooper. The classes can be taken independently of each other, or in tandem. Both classes will explore eight Chilean wines including tastings, tasting notes as well as food pairings to sample.
