Chile’s wineries were out at full force during China’s biggest food and drinks fair in Chengdu at the end of March. Eighteen wineries brought some of their finest premium wines as well as a selection of reserve and varietal wines to gives visitors a great taste and experience of Chilean wine while they visited the popular Wines of Chile and Pro Chile stand.
“What’s interesting about this fair is that it is 100% Chinese and it is a great place to find both importers and distributors of wine,” said Alvaro Arriagada, Fairs Manager for Wines of Chile who attended the 4 day fair. “It is a chance also to learn the Chinese industry codes and customs, which are very different to western ones.”
Chilean wineries in attendance included: Bisquertt Family Vineyards, Casas del Bosque, Casas Patronales, Cremaschi Furlotti Wineries, CWC, Echeverria Family Wines, Carta Vieja, Grupo Belen, La Ronciere, Montgras Estates, Siegel Winery, Sur Valles, The Wine Merchant SA, Viña Anakena, Viña Casablanca, Viña La Rosa, Viña Montes, and Winekee/Concha y Toro.
