In Brazil’s most important wine trade fair, Expovinis, Wines of Chile had the fortune of being represented by one of Brazil’s most influential wine journalists Jorge Lucki. Delivering a masterclass at the fair, Lucki presented five wines to show to great variety and complexity that Chilean wine can produce.
As well as the masterclass, there were 11 Chilean wineries offering tastings of their wines in the search for an importer in one of the fastest growing wine markets in the world. Held in Sao Paulo, the annual fair attracts wine producers, importers, exporters, distributors and representatives for a unique opportunity to network and make new connections.
The wines chosen for the masterclass were Miguel Torres, Conde de Superunda 2006; Las Niñas, Guapo 2012; Sieguel, Gran Crucero Limited Edition 2010; Ralco, Doña Teresa Reserva de Familia
Casa Verdi, 1918 Icono, edición Limitada Cabernet Sauvignon 2011. Vineyards that came to ExpoVinis were Alto Roble; Altos Vinos; Agroverdi; Balduzzi; Folatre; Invina; Las Niñas; Maquis; Ralco; Tunquelen; and Villaseñor.
