Wines of Chile is the featured Country of this fall’s Très Bonne Année, French for “A Very Good Year,” a series of charitable wine and food events held annually in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They will be celebrating their twelfth year with the event that has become one of the largest wine auctions for charity in the country. Each year Très Bonne Année features a great winery, wine region or country. Our promotion will be focused on our premium wines from Chile, priced $12.00 and above.
Très Bonne Anné is Central Pennsylvania’s premier social event. All events sell out every year. The Vintner’s Tasting traditionally hosts in excess of 300 guests and was the largest formal Tasting that Michael Mondavi, of Folio Fine Wine Partners, has ever hosted. Total proceeds donated to Whitaker Center each year exceed $375,000. I met with the organization on May 2nd and all the materials from the prior years’ events, tasting books, auction guides, etc are extremely well done. Although the wine and auction needs are significant, especially for the Focus Wineries, I think the resulting advertising and promotion will make this very worthwhile for all the wines of Chile
