WoC USA 2010 Grand Tasting events in Chicago & San Francisco
WINES OF CHILE: REACHING NEW HEIGHTS
Wines of Chile USA takes the show on the road-both literally and figuratively-this year and will host its 2010 Grand Tasting events in Chicago on Tuesday April 27 and in San Francisco on Thursday, April 29.
Each Grand Tasting is a double-feature as more than 50 wineries pour their finest for the trade show in the afternoon and then again for consumers in the evening. Master Sommelier Fred Dexheimer will offer talks and guided tastings, and Chile-based British photographer Matt Wilson will be on hand for an exhibit of his work following Chile’s recent earthquake.
Both shows will be open to the trade (by invitation) from 1:00-5:00 PM and then again for consumers from 6:00-8:30 PM.

I was interested in the San Francisco event on the 29th. Is there a schedule of events throughout the night so I might know when best to show up? Also, are people free to walk around and taste at their convenience or are the flights done in a more regimented way along with the speaker talking you through them? Thank you.
Hi John- thanks for writing. I’ve posted the times above. Trade from 1:00-5:00 with 2 seminars during that time, and Consumers from 6:00-8:30 with one seminar from 7:30.
Visitors are free to wander at their leisure from stand to stand, and representatives from each winery will be on hand to answer questions and make suggestions. Guaranteed to be a great time!
