Puro Wine, the latest piece of the Puro Chile project in NYC threw open its doors recently to become the first 100% Chilean wine shop in the US.
Lower Manhattan is the place to be when you’re looking for Chile in the US. Puro Chile, a new concept for promoting the image of Chile, provides a space to showcase the country’s products, services, tourism, professional talent, business opportunities, and culture through its showroom, events, seminars, and exhibitions. The Puro Chile store, which offers a range of Chilean goods and gourmet food, is now complemented by its sister component, Puro Wine, which offers a broad range of Chilean wine to the US public.
Puro Chile and Wines of Chile joined forces to bring this new phase of the project to light. A clearly pleased Juan Somavía, Managing Director of Wines of Chile, was on hand for the opening and commented, “Puro Wines is another means of promoting Chilean wine and it represents the validation of the years of work Wines of Chile has done to position our wine in the fertile US market.”
Looking for a special Chilean wine? Or maybe you’re ready to discover something new? Want to surprise your guests with a wine they’ve never tasted before? Or you just want a ready supplier for your Chilean favorites? You’ve come to the right place! The Puro Wine project begins with its shop at 221 Centre St in Lower Manhattan, and on-line sales will follow shortly. The shop currently stocks wines from some 50 Chilean wineries.
Lauren Kelleher, Puro Wine’s Store Manager, is bustling behind the scenes preparing the shop’s wine tasting schedule. If would like more information, contact the store or check here for tasting schedules.
