Ernst & Young’s “World Entrepreneur of the Year 2009″ competition brought together 43 national award winners to celebrate in style as they named the World Winner in Monaco.
Chile’s candidate was Aurelio Montes, partner and winemaker at Viña Montes. See the original story: Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2008 for Chile.
Although not declared the final winner (that honor went to Chinese businessman Cao Dewang, president of the Fuyao Glass Industry Group) Montes stood out among his peers in Monaco, where he gave numerous interviews, including with such media as the BBC. He was also invited to the Korean World Knowledge Forum, which puts him in company with Bill Gates and Colin Powell.
